CQ Fire & Safety is a fast-growing fire protection company covering eight states. We are a one-stop-shop offering businesses a variety of services including fire suppression system testing and servicing, fire extinguisher maintenance, commercial cleaning and much more!
JOB SUMMARY
This position requires the ability to service, repair, and replace fire protection equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.
**This is a full-time position that requires nights & travel
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
For this position, one must be open to change and willing to grow and learn as our company expands into the fire protection market.
The duties and responsibilities of a Fire Suppression Technician include but are not limited to:
· Testing & servicing commercial kitchen fire suppression systems to the prescribed standards
· Testing & servicing exit and emergency lights in commercial buildings
· Testing & servicing fire extinguishers
· Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of our customers fire sprinkler systems
· Identify code and non-conformance issues
· Prepare accurate and timely service reports
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
· Must have 1-year experience
· Must know and understand NFPA 10, 17A, 17, 96
· Must have excellent leadership skills
· Must be detail-oriented
· Must have great mechanical and troubleshooting skills
· Must be reliable for all scheduled and on-call jobs
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and use power and hand tools
· Work in outside conditions
· Use of ladders for roof access
